I relate so much to your spiritual journey. My own illness a few years back shook my alternative faith to the core. It took me a while to get a sense of what had happened to me (I almost died and spent 10 days in the hospital) and how I could be so blindsided by it. It's been 6 years now, and I marvel at how that event not only makes sense to me now, but I see it for the complete gift that it was. I know you will sort out your own beliefs, I can see that you have a seeker's heart. We always find what we seek. Blessings to you!

I discovered your blog a few days ago...love your journal pages! Have also done The Artist's Way (on my own)a few years ago, so am interested in your process through it. Today noticed your reference to FAE/FAS. Your life must somehow be touched by it! We adopted twin girls (now age 26) who have FAE and are struggling through their lives with it. Is there much awareness where you live? Bev

I've heard many people rave about The Artist's Way. I never purchased the book because I didn't believe I'd do the exercises. Reading this post has revealed to me that I'm doing the exercises anyway at this stage in my life. Questioning my motivations, my spirituality, my relationships to people and things, the choices I've made and continue to make, the shape of my life, the way I want it to be, and how I might get there. I guess I'm trudging along the artist's way without a map!

I really enjoyed reading your reflections. Good stuff.
